The Georgiana Knickers are the perfect balance between sweet and comfy! They were fun and quick to make up. I can see myself making many more pairs. Its very exciting to think that I won’t ever have to buy knickers for myself again!

I was a little hesitant about making these as I was worried they might not have much coverage, but they fit perfectly in my size. Susan told me that she had made some of these on the grain (rather than on the bias) and they worked well, so I cut mine from gingham on the grain and they were very comfortable and used less fabric. I might make the jersey gusset slightly longer and I applied the elastic slightly differently. (Attached it with zigzag to wrong side the folded it over and zigzag again as I didn’t want the slightly ruffely edge. I’m thrilled because these are much easier to make than jersey underwear on my 83 year old treadle but I can also match them to a woven fabric bra pattern I have.
I’ll be making lots of these!
