Not Paper Towels

PATTERN DESCRIPTION

Not Paper Towels is a great way for beginner  sewers to learn straight sewing, and zig zagging edges and the joy of making something incredibly useful and eco friendly. I’ve written down the fabric requirements but old flannelette sheets or pillow cases are fabulous for this project as are old towels that are getting a bit threadbare. Check your cupboards or raid your local charity, thrift or op shop for supplies.

For experienced sewers they are a great way to use up leftover scraps of fabrics and they make great presents for young and old.

Designed for woven fabric with a soft pile such as flannel sometimes known as flannelette, other cottons may work but be less absorbent.
